Pittsfield Winter Seasonal: Imperial Stout
On tap by New Year's 2008, imperial Stout will ring in at 10% ABV. Pittsfield Brew Works rotates a number of porters throughout the year, including the "regular" Porter, Smoked Porter, Coffee-Chocolate Porter and for this holiday season, Coffee Porter (6.0%), using Fogbuster's Coffee from local roasters, The Pierce Brothers. American Pale Ale, brewed with a mix of hops from the recent pale ale experiment, will also be on tap, as well as many of the local favorites, such as Pitch Pilsner, McKenna's Irish Red and Gerry Dog Stout. Donations from Gerry Dog have been over $2,000 this year, with 25 cents from every pint going to the Berkshire Humane Society.
